The Shannon Stuff

Shannon Rice grew up in Randolph Center, Vermont and attended Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana. After graduating, he spent four years living in Japan's northern Tohoku region where he taught English and worked in academic administration. Upon return to the U.S., he settled in Boston where he has worked in the software industry and in higher education. In November of 2005 he earned a Master's in IT with a focus in software engineering at the Harvard University Extension School. He currently works as the program coordinator at Harvard's Program on U.S.-Japan Relations which is part of the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs.

In his spare time he enjoys hiking and camping, sports such as tennis and spending time with family.
